As the end of May approaches, let’s recap what the month of May has brought us so far!
Many rang in the first weekend of May by celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Being 21 and over sure does have its perks sometimes. But remember, DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE! For everyone that celebrated with family and friends, I hope you had a great time.
Another big day that happened was on Sunday, May 13; Mother’s Day! To all of the mothers and mother figures out there, on behalf of Reach Out Morongo Basin, we hope you had an amazing day filled with love, family, and maybe even some peace and quiet. Always show love and appreciation for the ones closest to you because we never know just how long we may have them.
With the end of May approaching, we need to take a moment to remember all of those who died while fighting for our country and our freedom this Memorial Day. The end of May also means Grubstake Days is almost here! That means the Parade and Rodeo are right around the corner! The Rodeo will take place in Landers on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26. If you have time, stop by and come by our booth. We’ll be there face painting to raise money for our programs.
In closing, I would like to remind everyone of the awesome ZUMBA Class held at the Twentynine Palms Senior Center (6539 Adobe Road) every Tuesday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. It is geared towards our senior citizens, but anyone of any age is welcome to come! I hope everybody has had a great May and an even better rest of it. We’ll see you all next time!
Until Next Time–
